Story
On land that has supported winegrapes for seven centuries, Tenuta di Nozzole produces wines that respect both tradition and innovation: Chianti Classicos ranging from traditional to fruit-forward, and an IGT Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. Located north of the village of Greve at Passo dei Pecorai, the Nozzole estate is located in an impressively rugged mountainous area of melancholy beauty and covers roughly 1,000 acres, of which approximately a third are planted in vines and olive groves. The Folonari family purchased the estate in 1971 from Letizia Rimediotti-Mattioli and her husband, who had been producing wine for the Folonaris on the land for several years.
